Who is Billy?

Billy may have been known in the late 1980s by teens, folkies and some drunks hanging out in Washington Square Park as Mr. Tambourine Man, now he is known for his catchy melodies and rich harmonies in Jewish Music and Children’s songs.   Billy plays the baritone ukulele with other live and digital instruments. Billy has been involved in music since he was a teenager: he played Jesus in Godspell, sang in the Bradley University choir, wrote music for a VERY Off-Broadway show, and worked with the Chicago band Word Bongo. He is currently the drummer in Heavy Shtetl, the Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation’s (JRC) Klezmer band.
